For this Haunt season I got myself some FX Colors Blood Thirst Colored Contacts. I tested these out at home before usuing them at Haunt. This review is based off my home trial before wearing them at Haunt. I may update this post after Haunt to give my feeling on wearing them for a full season. Just a disclaimer, Contacts are considered medical devices, so consult with a medical professional before purchasing or use.
I found these contacts from the Gothika website. Which has a pretty good selection. I found the purchasing process to be pretty easy and the website is pretty good with handling my order. I believe I ended up paying $34.07 after shipping and taxes. Granted this may be different for you. Gothika did a pretty good job keeping me up to date on shipping. I writing this post the day I received them, which was about a week after ordering.
Each contact lens came in seperate boxes. Which is sort of nice but sort of not. If you’re looking to mix and match your colors, this is awesome that you can buy them individually! If you wanna purchase them as a set, you just select you’re buying two instead of one. Which I wish they came in the same box, but thats just me.
The boxes were easy enough to open and I did receive a case to store the contacts in which was nice. They came with instructions and the contact. Upon first viewing, I was impressed with the coloring of the red. It looked just as good in the picture on the sales page. Getting the contacts out of their solution and package was easy enough.
They were easy to get on. No real trouble for myself. I would say they were fairly comfortable. I don’t regularly wear contacts, so compared with my expirence wearing colored ones before, I do like them. The only downside I expirenced was the red coloring was bit darker than I wished. In low lighting and from a distance they almost look black. If the red was one shade lighter, they would be perfect.
Based on the limited expirence I’ve had with them so far, they seem pretty good. I would consider ordering from this brand again. I’ll let you know once Haunt is done what I thought of them then as well. Probably will update this post, so keep a lookout. But to start things off, I do like them.
