As a self avowed metalhead, I can tell you it has been a journey. But, that journey has to start somewhere. That band was Crown the Empire. I know I know, many of you will cry, “Metalcore isn’t real metal!” Especially with a Rise band. But it’s true, I wouldn’t be where I am today without a friend showing me Crown the Empire.
I’m not saying they’re a perfect band. Far from it, they have many problems. However, they do have some real banggers and I stand by that. Sure, it’s not the most innovative, but it is fun. The Fallout was the track that got me on this journey, and I’ll still throw it in my playlist once and a while.
