Scare Acting 101: Part 7 A Glossery of Terms

In the great world of haunting, we have our own slang. This list may be updated in the future if I think of more so you may wanna check back on this one once and a while. Here’s a list of common terms and slang, and what they mean. Enjoy 🙂

Blood Me = Asking someone to spray fake blood on your costume

Crowd Crud = the curddy feeling you get the next morning, it feels like you’re sick, but you’re not

Drop/Dropping/Dropped = Scared someone so much that they fell to the ground

Fresh Meat = Customers are starting to come through the house

Haunt = The haunted attraction/haunted house that you work at

Haunter = Scare Actor

Haunt Family = The Hauntes that you work with

Room = The location where will be stationed at your Haunt

Slider = A type of Haunter that uses specail pads and gloves to slide across the ground and create sparks.

The next part in this series will deal with what to do in the off season once you’ve caught the haunt bug.
